WEDNESDAY HODGEPODGE...1fish, 2fish

This week's Wednesday Hodgepodge questions from JOYCE @ FROM THIS SIDE OF THE POND

1. March 2nd is Dr. Seuss's birthday...Do you like green eggs and ham?  How about this instead: How do you like your eggs?
Dr. Seuss was always one of my favorites as a child…being the lazy reader, I was a fan of his not using lots of words.
I’m also a BIG fan of eggs cooked in ANY way, however, I’ve never made ‘green eggs’ in celebration of his birthday.  I prepare eggs in many forms and fashions…everything from fried rice to ‘eggs benedict’ to deviled eggs to pickled eggs…they all meet my taste buds’ requirements.

2. Is March coming in like a lion or something less ferocious where you live?
February 28brought tornadoes and huge thunderstorms to our area, yet March 1 is beautifully sunny and warm with a high around 62* today!  So, I guess technically it came in ‘like a lamb’.  We are praying we won’t have our usual ‘late season’ freeze…some of our biggest and worst blizzards have surprised us in middle to late March.
3. Do you work better or worse under pressure?
TIMEFRAMES are a very good motivator for me but SOMEONE hovering over me is NOT what I like.
4. March Madness (college basketball)-are you a fan?
College basketball is a sport hubs and I enjoy watching together.  Growing up we watched it a lot with my Daddy, and my Mother played high school basketball.  I’d much rather watch it than play it, bad ankles have never been good for basketball…in fact, my first ankle injury was due to P.E. basketball and trying to beat the pants off ‘one up’ the boys in our class

5. Under what circumstances do you do your best thinking?
My ‘best thinking’ is a category too rough to describe these days.  Transitioning physically after needed surgeries can try one down to the very laminin membrane binding our cores.
One day my thoughts come together easily and joyfully yet things can turn on a dime and floods of questioning hurry in and stagger my success at even the smallest things…even to the level of making more of a mess when I’m attempting to ‘clean’.
Therefore, I’ll approach this question this way:  Much satisfaction comes from ‘walking with my hubby on the greenway’, ‘sitting with my coffee listening to nature wake up’ and ‘praying with my sisters and being in His presence’…there He renews me, even on what I perceive to be my most difficult transitional days.

6. What item of clothing from your wardrobe do you wear most often?
Levi blue jean shorts, year round
7. Do you use sarcasm?
My sarcasms come relative to more ‘ironic’ things.  However, prayers are said over those moments my tongue wants to go toward hurtful sarcasm that on the front-end might sound funny but at it’s core is hurtful.
When sarcasm is used on me or better said “comes at me”, my blood can boil at first.  Later, I find it becomes pity.  Pondering hidden messages wrapped in sarcasm unveils others’ vulnerability.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
Currently, I’m learning to knit a pair of socks…this may take me a while.
