GUIDE "HER"

I'm thankful for: American Sign Language , which is a form of communication I've been enjoying learning since I was a child. Getting to communicate with a girlfriend's family when I was in grammar school started it all.

Over the past few years, I've met many kids and adults along the way who cannot hear--and I just love watching their faces as I'm sharing my "sporadically-learned" hand language with them!! Needless tosay, I often have to slow them down because my skills are way "under par".

But for me really, it is one my "rejoicing" tools to praise God...especially when I'm singing. Giving my praise more fully with voice, face and hands.

Many times I learn from the books I own and often I view GodTube and YouTube to see the latest ASL praise songs on video. Please view one of the best videos I've seen recently...Shannon McMullen's YouTube version of God Bless America (1min34secs)...simple, sweet, and to the point!

Lord,

Will you continue to "stand" beside us

and "guide" us...

every day as we walk America's path to the future.

Give our leaders soft hearts

and open ears to hear your Spirit's guidance

as they work for this nation.

Amen

My Hands Love to Sing!

Today's Cafe Chat's scripture is:

“Look! Listen! God’s arm is not amputated – He can still save!

We were asked if our "connection" to God seems to be "disconnected" or maybe the "cell site has been lost". One of the responding posts reminded me that God is "Mighty to Save"! Hillsong's, "Mighty to Save", is my favorite to sign (AmericanSignLanguage). Praising Him each time I sign it!! The words truly capture so much of His love and our need:

Everyone needs compassion
Love that’s never failing
Let mercy fall on me
Everyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Saviour
The hope of nations

Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save!
He is mighty to save !
Forever! Author of salvation.
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave!

So take me as You find me, all my fears and failures.
Fill my life again. I give my life to follow everything I believe in,
now I surrender.
Shine Your light and let the whole world see;
We’re singing for the glory of the Risen King

And the best thing when we CALL on Him, we never get a recording--we don't have to punch a button for a language, 'cause He's got them all covered!!
