  joining Janet...and...here we go! 
1. This week I _enjoyed getting to talk with dearestdaughter's college friend who came for a short visit; what a sweet person who obviously cares for those around her...she's planning to be an attorney for the 'disabled'_.

2. _Even though I will complain about the hot weather ahead of me, isn't it remarkable and wonderful that I have four distinct seasons that each_ returns.

3. "It's all about _getting to the seeds before the birds!", said the squirrel in my backyard after I refilled the feeder_.

4. _The hibiscus that had been vacationing in my dining room throughout the Winter  were moved to the front porch and are soon to be in their pots where they will basque_ in the sun.

5. I demand _my electric fan must be in working order throughout these hot flashes_.

6. _A mother's_ path, it's filled with _many ups as her child succeeds in making wise decisions and many downs when her child doesn't involve her in everyday happenings_.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _eating seafood with my family_, tomorrow my plans include _some thrift shopping, re- purposing some furniture in our basement then grilling_ and Sunday, I want to _worship and take an afternoon nap_!

And...here we go!

1. You do your thing; I do mine and sometimes _I want to do your thing with you_.

2. _My college freshman driving two hours to her girlfriend's house_ is what's been on my mind on and off all day.

3. Remember when _most families had time to eat dinner with each other_.

4. _Praying with my accountability sisters, working on my newest 'knitting' project and eating salsa with soy crisps(more protein/no carbs)_ are three of my favorite obsessions

5. During the last year _God's been teaching me more about 'sitting still and knowing He's got my back'._

6. _Seeing previous youth in our community accepting Jesus and raising their families under His guidance certainly_ puts a smile on my face.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _grilling marinated swordfish in our smoker_, tomorrow my plans include _dropping off several bags at the local GoodWill_ and Sunday, I want to _get a nap(because the politicians haven't been calling as often...thank you, Lord_!

1. A cup of tea _HAS BEEN IN MY HANDS A LOT THIS WEEK WHILE SUCCUMBING TO THE FLU/COLD/WHATEVER IT WAS...ECHINACEA HELPED ME THROUGH IT'S STEAMINESS AND IN ENHANCING MY IMMUNITIES___.

2. _PLEASANT. SWEET SMELLS AND RICH, SAVORY SMELLS COMING FROM SOMETHING YUMMY COOKING IN MY KITCHEN__ makes a place feel like home.

3. Everything has its beauty _BECAUSE OUR LORD IS ITS CREATOR AND YOU CAN'T DO BETTER THAN HIM__.

4. _WHY HAVE YOU NEVER VISITED SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND TREATED YOURSELF TO THE BEST-I'VE-EVER-HAD___ taste of strawberries?

5. Art makes me _APPRECIATE GOD'S PROVISION OF THE GIFTS HE GAVE HIS YOUNG, OLD, HAPPY, SAD, TALENTED AND UNTALENTED; SHOWN VISIONS, NO MATTER THE MEDIUM__.

6. LOL , I just noticed I forgot _TO EAT BREAKFAST...DOES THAT MEAN I GET TO EAT TWICE AS MUCH LUNCH OR SHOULD I JUST RISK THE HEADACHE THAT'S INEVITABLE?__.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _WATCHING THE OLYMPICS AGAIN_, tomorrow my plans include _VISITING TILE SHOPS AND HOME REMODELING STORE TO GATHER PRICING FOR RE-MODELING OUR MASTER BATHROOM___ and Sunday, I want to _WORSHIP, ENJOY LUNCH WITH MY FAMILY AND KNIT MY SHAWL IN THE WARM SUNLIGHT COMING THROUGH THE LIVING ROOM WINDOW (WHICH WILL INDUCE A COZY NAP ON THE COUCH)_!

FRIDAY FILL - IN

And...here we go!

1. Johnny Weir was enjoyable to watch as he skated during the Olympics...the judges always get prodded for their job, good or bad.

2. __I've cringed through many heart-stopping events (especially watching Women's Downhillers wiping out...then it changing to joy as America won gold) during the__ 2010 Olympics.

3. And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud_became so miniscule I took the chance, flew the airplane and felt like a flying rose_.

4. _I'll gladly open the door and let you come in and clean my house from top to bottom_ if you get an urge.

5. Having sweet dreams __IS ALWAYS more fun than having the horror movies that sometimes spout from the abyss of my unconcious brain__.

6. What does it take _to have eternal life? Believe on Jesus Christ as your personal savior, ask and ye shall find__.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to __taking my cold medicine and getting a better night's sleep than last night___, tomorrow my plans include _playing some board games with girlfriends and munching on appetizers__ and Sunday, I want to _feel this cold washing away so I won't feel any worse_!

FRIDAY FILL INs..& FINDING BEAUTY

And...here we go!

1. Pickles made with kosher salt and vinegar are my favorites--they add a wonderful, crispy crunch to my sandwiches, and sometimes I sneak one from the jar so they can just crunch in my mouth.

2. SO, if the weather people are RIGHT and we start getting snow tomorrow (moving in from Texas), I'll probably NOT be the ONLY ONE at home.

3. The snow is expected to start falling around 10am, continue falling until early evening and some schools have already closed (flakes haven't even hit the ground yet).

4. Our snow watch is for less snow north of the city with the largest accumulation to be south of the city...the North usually gets a lot more snow, so this is definitely a freak in nature.

5. It's 5:16 PM; that means dd could possibly be working on homework if she's made it back from her internship, I'm cooking in the kitchen while hubs is stressfully driving an hour on his way home from work.

6. Why is it: I buy multiple pairs of glasses so I can easily FIND my glasses but when they're needed any pair is hard to find?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the 2-3" of predicted snow, tomorrow my plans include thawing whatever meat I'll be cooking for supper after taking pictures of the snow on the ground and Sunday, I want to hear all about what the youth did in the snow then head home to take a nap after church then get a little knitting done!

FINDING BEAUTY...
1. The lesson I learned yesterday was: "Grown ups" act like teenagers when they get in line to sign

up for something...the line was more horizontal than perpendicular and it took FOREVER to finally SIGN the sheet to help with SENIOR WEEK.

2. Dreaming of being under the Arbor at our campground in the summertime...where friends

and family meet.

3. All these years of being in my house are adding up to lots of money having to be spent

now on upgrades, repairs and newer items that won't last as long.

4. Having to stand in line so long made me late

to our weekly prayer/share, so I quickly joined in after finding the ladies discussing their week when I arrived.

5. The truth is GOD IS ALWAYS SPEAKING TO US--WE'RE JUST NOT BEING QUIET AND

STILL LONG ENOUGH TO HEAR HIM.

6. 'FOUND BEAUTY IN' REMEMBERING

THE LOOK ON DD'S FACE

YESTERDAY WHILE ANNOUNCING HER ACHIEVING "HONOR GRADUATE"--AND NOT HAVING TO TAKE FINALS IN ANY OF HER CLASSES...PRICELESS...THAT is what I remember most from that day.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to WORKING ON MY KNITTING PROJECT, tomorrow my plans include WRAPPING UP THE PRE-LIT CHRISTMAS TREE AND RETURNING IT TO ITS 'PLACE' IN THE BASEMENT and Sunday, I want to BE IN OUR CONTEMPORARY SERVICE TO HEAR OUR SENIOR PASTOR...I'VE BEEN IN YOUTH THE PAST TWO WEEKS AND IT'S MY TURN TO BE FED!
