Solomon's Knot (Crochet)

Finished a white wrap, now on to a lightweight grey one...such an easy 4-row repeat!

This yarn is not bulky/hot as it sits on my lap; so I'm extremely thankful for the lighter weight.

It's been a joy working on these while watching the NCAA men's college world series where Vandy's hanging tough...as well as Florida. 

Go, SEC!

STRIPEMANIA...senior prom

 

Wanting something new to do today during my blogging time, I ran across the above meme over at Holly's decor8...

it involves posting a picture of yourself in stripes on your blog

then Holly and her friend, Igor, are putting together a 'pinterest' board of the pics from all the bloggers...it is beginning to make a pretty neat collage.

The FIRST pic I found of myself in a striped shirt was from senior PROM evening 2010...babygirl's last high school prom. 

She is standing beside me while I was using another girl's camera to catch a shot of her...the girl's mom held my camera for me and decided to get a shot of babygirl and me!  What a great time they had that night.

So...Jenny has done some vicious word slashing this week. She's given us instruction to use only twenty-five words to express ourselves about the following prompt:

Sunday, 5/8: NC mountains-11 family members-large 7-bedroom lodge= heaven

Grilled steaks, SLOW-baked potatoes, salad and college-graduation cake=sleepy during graduation

 

Monday, 5/9:  Leaving mountain house=painful (wanted to stay in 60* weather)

Hit the SOCK OUTLET=great deals

TONY's ICE CREAM Shop=iced tea slushie=WONDERFUL!

Tuesday, 5/10: Vacuumed, dishes done=boy, what fun :(

Wednesday, 5/11: New shopping center visit=new mochaCoconut Frapp from *bux (soooo hooked!)

Thursday, 5/12: Thrifting/babygirl (no longer a babygirl-needs 'stuff' for sophomore college apartment=fun time

Friday, 5/13: Niece celebrating birthday while in China (college internship)=tired, she left the day after graduation...

Back to the consignment store=bought wrought-iron bar chairs...love 'em

Saturday, 5/12: Cleaned shower, refrigerator, grocery shopped=another tired woo hoo!   

tonight: crochetinga shawl=to mail for a special occasion.
