RANDOM DOZEN & an EXTRA video :D

LINDA @ 2ND CUP OF COFFEE IS SWEETLY HOSTING AGAIN...

1. What was the last song you
listened to? MIGHTY TO SAVE...A PRAISE SONG DURING WORSHIP...I TYPICALLY DON'T LISTEN TO MUSIC...THESE DAYS I LISTEN MORE TO TALK RADIO

2. Have you ever had “buyer’s remorse” over anything? MY 1983 FOX-SILVER GREY, USED 280-ZX...I BOUGHT IT ON A WHIM AND REALLY 'MISSED' MY BRAND-NEW BUICK LE SABRE, BEIGE ON BEIGE VELOUR 60/40 FRONT SEAT, LEATHER LANDAU TOP... OVER THE YEARS I CAME TO LIKE MY Z CAR BUT IT NEVER REALLY REPLACED MY LE SABRE
~:-/

3. What is something in your life that you are thankful for now that you didn't think you would be at the time of the event? PARENTS THAT WERE VERY PARTICULAR AND TIGHT ON RULES...I FELT VERY CONSTRAINED...BUT, LOOKING BACK, THEY WERE VERY PROTECTIVE AND CARING FOR ME

4. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade every year? If so, do you have a favorite float or
balloon? NOPE, WHEN I WAS A KID I WATCHED IT A LOT BUT AS THE YEARS HAVE PASSED, MY PARADE DAYS ARE OVER BEFORE I REMEMBER THERE'S A PARADE. BACK IN THE DAY, SNOOPY WAS MY FAVORITE WITH KERMIT A VERY CLOSE SECOND!!

5. Share a quote, scripture, poem or lyric which has been an inspiration to you lately.
I LONG TO ACCOMPLISH A GREAT AND
NOBLE TASK, BUT IT IS MY CHIEF DUTY TO ACCOMPLISH SMALL TASKS AS IF THEY WERE GREAT AND NOBLE. Helen Keller

6. This is meant to be a fun question, and this is a G-rated blog, but please share a “guilty pleasure,” something that you enjoy that’s probably not the most edifying, time-worthy or healthy thing you
could be indulging in. Did I mention--G rating? SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ON THE INTERNET

7. What Thanksgiving food are you looking forward to? CORNBREAD
DRESSING WITH GIBLET GRAVY

8. What is your favorite book to read to children, or what was your favorite childhood
book? IS YOUR MAMA A
LLAMA?

9. Do you collect anything? (Feel free to post a photo.)
ANGELS...pictures, statues, ornaments...

10. Gift bags or wrapping paper? BAGS, FOR SURE

11. Share an after-school memory from when you were younger. What was your routine like on an average day?
I'D USUALLY GO TO THE BASEMENT TO SEE WHAT SEWING PROJECT MY MOM WAS WORKING ON...SHE SEWED FOR MANY PEOPLE...WEDDING GOWNS, DRAPERY, BLOUSES AND EVEN 3-PIECE SUITS. video

SPEAKING OF AFTERSCHOOL...I FINALLY got the video to load (from our teen prayer/share the other night)...teens, you just never KNOW what they're gonna do...i think the FUNNIEST part is at the 1min13sec mark when "Mr. O" joins the girls...i want to ask, but i'm LAFF'ing too hard! :D

12. True story: Once, in a job interview, I was asked this question and told there would be no clarifying; I simply had to answer the question: “When you’re fishing, do you feel for the fish?” So what about you? When you're fishing, do you feel for the fish?? MOST DEFINITELY...I USED TO FISH WITH MY FATHER...SOMETIMES WE'D FISH FROM THE SHORE, USING WORMS ON THE HOOK WHILE WE 'JIGGED' THE LINE UP AND DOWN WITH NO FLOAT...TO CATCH 'CRAPPY' ...YOUR POLE WILL JIGGLE WHEN THE FISH BITES AND YOU HAVE TO REACT QUICKLY AND PULL UP TO HAVE THE HOOK GRAB THE FISH. OTHER TIMES WE'D BE OUT IN THE BOAT USING RED AND WHITE FLOATS...WAITING TO SEE THE FLOAT DROP BELOW THE SURFACE, AND KNOWING THERE WAS A BITE AT THE END WITH THE WEIGHT...YOU COULD FEEL THE FISH PULL IF YOU MISSED THE FLOAT. ...I MISS FEELING THE FISH WITH DADDY

Jer. 33:3
"Call to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."
Blessings,

My Dad used to take us fishing too but I always thought it was so boring. I wanted adventure! :v)

Oh my, Is Your Mama A Llama -- what a great book! Y'all are reminding me of lots of wonderful kids books.

Will have to come back to watch the video when my internet is a little faster. It's slower than molasses on a cold day in January this morning.

Did you inherit your mama's sewing abilities? I wish I could sew better. I'm adequate for what I do with quilts, but I'd love to be able to make clothes. Esp. now that most of my clothes don't fit since losing the weight and I haven't been able to find much in the stores that (1) fit and (2) is worth what they're charging.

Your answer to #2 brought back memories of our first mini van. LOVED that thing! Super comfortable, spacious enough to spread out on long trips but not so big it was like driving a tank. In the words of Goldilocks, it was JUST RIGHT. lol Our 2nd van was okay but not as easy to get in and out of, back seat didn't go in or out as easy...little things like that. Will always have very fond memories of that first mini van!

Lovin' this meme!
