JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM Excitement & Ultimate Blog Party...

PROM UPDATE: Just call them "handsome" and "glam girl" :)

From Drop Box

CAN'T BELIEVE MY DD IS OLD ENOUGH FOR THIS...BUT SHE IS.

PRAYERS FOR SAFETY FIRST, THE MAKING OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES SECOND, AND REMEMBERING WHOSE SHE IS WHILE SHE'S DOING BOTH...

2 John 1:8 And be very careful around them so you don't lose out on what we've worked so diligently in together; I want you to get every reward you have coming to you. Anyone who gets so progressive in his thinking that he walks out on the teaching of Christ, walks out on God. But whoever stays with the teaching, stays faithful to both the Father and the Son.

What prom experiences do you remember?

(side note#1: if you haven't checked out the Women's Conference coming up in April, click on the top right widget...I'm hoping to win a ticket...you could too! Go check it out...)

My senior year I went to the prom with The Student Body President. But then you couldn't go to the prom with anyone outside of your school.(it was the late 60's)
His girlfriend and my boyfriend had both already graduated!!
It was a big deal then but not like it is now.
There was not all of this limo renting, and going out after the prom.

God bless her and keep her safe--let her have a wonderful memory that she is delighted to share with Mom ....

Alas, my prom experience shall not be repeated here because it is not a fairy tale moment. Not tragic, just not great.

Nevertheless, hope springs eternal, and I hope and pray your girl has a great time.

My junior and Senior proms were both cancled due to ratial riots. So I have no memories of them.

Didn't go to the prom, so no memories good or bad.

Hope you win at least one of the things you want! I'm reading this while kinda tired and at first couldn't figure out why you'd want 58 KitchenAid stand mixers. LOL Silly me, it dawned on me with the second/third items what the numbers meant. I'm slow but I get there eventually :-)

Hi! I'm here from the UBP! I loved prom. My senior prom was great. My 3 best friends and I took 4 of our guy friends from another school. We danced with all of them and had a great time. When we took pictures we did some of them individually-each one of us did a pic with all 4 guys since they were all our dates. It was a lot of fun!

I went to Christian school, so we didn't have prom. We had a "Junior Senior Banquet" instead. Still fun!

BTW - the mixer was my first choice, too! :)

I didn't attend my prom. But my wedding and renewal ceremony memories are great!
I hope you're having fun at the party.

I didn't go to the prom. My boyfriend (now hubby of 22 years) and I went out.

I hope your daughter has a wonderful time at her prom. I like your description "retired teenage chauffeur" that is what I am right now.
Happy Blog Party! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Never went to a prom. I know...shocking! I'm a bit undone by all this blog hopping, but having fun all the same. Glad you're one of my "regular" stops.

I remember not having enough guts to get out on the dance floor because I just knew that everyone would be looking at me LOL.

Tell her to enjoy every minute of it!

Such a cute couple! Look forward to hearing how the sleepover went, and all the festivities :-)

We're heading to Sta. Rosa for a couple of days. Monday we hope to get the plumbing fixed in one of the baths, and on Tuesday our co-workers are coming out for an all-day planning session. We have internet out there, but it's sketchy. So don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a couple days.

I'm taking two packs of index cards to work on my vocab for Spanish. I also plan on taking a LOOOOONG nap tomorrow :-) I saw the doctor yesterday and she said to keep taking the iron. They're going to run some tests to check hormone levels, but she said all my symptoms are common with the "change of life". Oh fun. NOT!

Well, I'll certainly always remember the year I turned 50! LOL

Have a great week Jubisista!

Oh prom....I hardly remember mine-but certainly remember the few my 2 oldest went to. They had a blast (I chaperoned) and since it was in a Christian environment-there was no need for the typical stressers (must have date, where to go after, etc.), just fun. They had fun and I enjoyed helping my daughter and son get all glammed up-rare site 'round here.
Enjoy the party and nice to meet ya
